Since beginning her Middle Eastern Dance teaching career nearly ten years ago, Ms. Bel Isle continues to discover joy and inspiration from all of her students. In her classes, she encourages a relaxed, expressive, and educated approach to any dance study, whether it be recreational or academic.

Learn the glamorous steps, costuming, and music of a bygone era in Egyptian dance history. This class will cover the styles of Egypt's cinema dance stars of the 1940s and -50s. As the session progresses, we will explore the powerful movements of the famous dancers of the 1960s and -70s, tracing a line of dance styles all the way to present day while discussing the social factors that affect dancers onstage

"Egyptian Regional Dances"
A class series covering regional dance styles of Egypt. Each Monday night in this eight week session, we focus on a different region and its style, music, history, and costuming. Janelle also shows you how to incorporate these folk styles into your own bellydance routine to add some cultural spice to any performance. Fun and fascinating information!
